What’s going on?
Welcome to the Twyford Family Cook Book!
Nobody could accuse the Twyford's of being indifferent to food. Generations of our foodie history have proven that. From Granny Twyford's Sunday afternoon tea with home made bread and cakes, to Valerie's minced beef and potato pie, to Uncle John's veggie lasagne. Food isn't just sustenance for the Twyfords - it's the heart and soul of our family gatherings. So isn't it about time we documented that?
Here's the exciting part: I'm creating something special - a surprise Christmas present for Grandma Val in 2025! I’m collecting all of our beloved family recipes into a beautiful printed book. Once it's done, I'll make sure everyone can get their own copy too. Think of it as a living family heirloom that we can keep adding to as the years go by.`
Here's all you need to do to be a part of the project: Head over to the 'submit a recipe' page and share your favourite recipe. Don't stress about perfect measurements or fancy techniques if you don’t have them. Submit any recipe(s) that feel signature to you - whether it's the hidden veggie pasta sauce, chocolate chip cookies or the very best way to roast a gammon ready to carve up and take to a family fuddle, we want it all! 💫 If writing isn’t your speciality, don’t worry - get the key messages across and the rest will be taken care of in the edit.
I'll keep a running list of submitted recipe titles on the ‘submitted recipes’ page to avoid doubles. Feel free to submit as many as you'd like - individually, as a family, or both! You've got until October 31st, 2025, to get your recipes in (giving me time to work some editing magic). And remember the golden rule: VALERIE MUST NOT KNOW! 🤫
